Soggy Disneyland, March 1977

Your honor, we have established - beyond a reasonable doubt - that it sometimes rains at Disneyland. Here we present as further proof this photo that we will refer to as "exhibit A". The presence of bunches of poinsettias hints that these photos were taken around Christmas time, in spite of the date-stamp of March 1977. The rain didn't dampen guest's spirits for long, by the looks of things... the sun is already shining on the castle!

The photo (exhibit B) shows more blue skies. The shower must have just passed! Maybe gramps decided that the Carnation truck would be a good place to keep his hat dry (Grandma was on her own). Funny how the vehicle is parked out there, away from the Carnation Corner. Veeeeery fishy...

Wow rain. The tree in the 2nd pic was so shocked at its leaves getting wet that it dropped all of them! All the better to see the lovely Plaza Inn. Tho' it does seem a bit bare!

Oh Maj, I got a shiny new monitor, one of them space age liquid-crystal display ones. 1440x900 pixels (pixels are the size of a single grain of pixie dust, you know) is so nice after being restricted to 1024x768 - and best of all your pics look so keen on it!

The sun ALWAYS shines on the castle silly, its kind of an unwritten law. I thought the Carnation Truck was always in the same spot (did it actually run?) Fun post, thanks!

The street is even dry under part of the Carnatian truck, further proof that it wasn't that the street and sidewalks were hosed down, it was a rainshower that did it.

Disneyland in the rain pics. These kinds of pics have got to be few and far between. Great ones.

I love Disneyland in the rain! It's nice to see some photos of a rainy Main Street!
