Motorboat Cruise, August 1970

It's the thrilling Motorboat Cruise! Look at this couple and their child, they are zooming through the water at blinding speeds, and I'm not sure anybody is even at the wheel in either photo. Wrecklessness, that's all it is. It's people like them that ruin a good time for the rest of us.

I don't really miss the old Motorboats that much, it was a pretty lame ride!! But if your feet were tired, it was a nice way to take a load off. And it was another bit of color and motion that was lost, along with the removal of the Peoplemover, the Skyway, and for ten years, the Subs. If only the Imagineers could use the old waterways for a similar (but improved) attraction!

I liked riding the motorboats. It was fun for those under age ten and relaxing for those thirty and older. If there needs to be more thrills, maybe Disney could borrow the Jaws shark from Universal Studios to jump out at passing boats. Come to think of it, those boats were a good place for a diaper change, anyway.
